Highlights

• Groznik PR manages and hosts three events in 2017 attended by thousands of people
• Grew social media following from zero to more than 1,300 followers on Facebook, 1,000 followers on Instagram in just over a year

Looking to recreate what we loved about living in NYC, we created Pop Up Ave, an urban-style outdoor flea market in downtown State College.

The free event is a curated mix of the hippest vendors from across Pennsylvania and beyond selling upcycled home décor, handmade bath products, artisanal jewelry, one-of-a-kind vintage finds and more. It also showcases local art, live music, food and a beer garden.

We manage all aspects of the event—from signing up vendors, to acquiring proper permitting. Additionally, we promoted the event through PR and advertising, as well as, our website, email list and social media.

From its launch in August of 2016 to Dec. 2017, Pop Up Ave’s social media presence grew from zero followers to more than 1,300 followers on Facebook, 1,000 followers on Instagram. These metrics are on par with the top retail business in the area.

We estimate at least 3,000 residents attend the event each time it’s held—making it one of the fastest growing events in Central Pennsylvania.

"Andrea and Brad are amazing organizers. They should probably be in charge of more things in life. Vending at Pop Up Ave is always smooth and headache free. We love attending," Deanna Dorangrichia, owner of Dorangrichia Ceramics, said.
